How to play Timeline

Seven moments from history, from ancient battles to the Moon landing. One is already on the timeline; place the other six, one at a time, before or after the ones you’ve placed. Then straight on to the next timeline.

The rules in 4 steps

  1. 1

One event starts on the timeline with its year, to give you a first anchor.

  2. 2

Read the next event and tap the gap where it belongs: before, between or after.

  3. 3

Right or wrong, it moves to its true spot and shows its year, so the line grows.

  4. 4

Place all six. Four or more right keeps your streak going.

Tips to score higher

  • Anchor on the events you’re sure about, then place the others before or after them.
  • Years before Christ are shown with “BC” and always come before AD years.
  • A wrong placement still lands in its true spot, so the timeline keeps getting more helpful.
  • Read the place under each event; it often hints at the era.
